DCarbon aims to establish carbon markets for sustainability financing. Employing AI, IoT, and blockchain, the project focuses on developing a digital carbon credit supply to enhance emissions accounting, credit quality, market liquidity, data rights, and accessibility.

During the week Consortium member Altru Institute will be hosting Round table discussion to produce a series of White Papers and Research Reports on promising and scalable innovations currently available. Topics:

  • SINGLE USE PLASTICS.  160 million tons produced every year worldwide. Only a small percentage is recycled. Most ends up in landfills and a significant portion ends up in the Ocean. Can we find new substances that biodegrade?  Can recycling work?  RESEARCH SPONSORS: EXIT VENTURES

  • LANDFILLS AND METHANE. Landfills are primary source of methane gas which is 80x as problematic as CO2. What is the future of recycling? Can waste be turned into clean energy? Can landfills and dumps be turned into clean fuel factories?   RESEARCH SPONSOR: RET TECHNOLOGIES

  • AI, DATA CENTERS,  ELECTRICITY, WATER. The vast electricity demands for AI is putting unprecedented pressure on the grid and on the water supply which is used to cool these facilities. What technologies can meet this need without harm to environment?  RESEARCH SPONSOR:  EARTH 05

  • CLEAN ENERGY. What will it take to bring along promising technologies such as Hydrogen, Nuclear and Geothermal that are both safe and economically feasible? How can we find efficiency and reduce energy consumption?  RESEARCH SPONSORS:  WILD HYDROGEN -  KVCATALYST

  • MENTAL HEALTH.  Depression and anxiety run rampant particularly through young people. This stress has led to an epidemic of substance abuse and suicide. What innovations approaches can address this challenge? RESEARCH SPONSORS: RETREAT   BRAIN RESOURCE CENTER

The outcome for this research will be White Papers to guidance to policy makers worldwide on technologies that have greatest potential for impact. If interested in any of these sessions please APPLY to attend and receive additional information.
