A simple gasification system for hydrogen production with carbon capture.
Wild Hydrogen has developed a simplified gasification process which it believes could revolutionize the energy sector by creating affordable carbon negative hydrogen from a wide range of biogenetic matter. Wild Hydrogen Ltd believes it is poised to redefine the landscape of clean hydrogen production. Its Rising Pressure Reformer (RiPR) technology takes biogenic materials, along with their associated water content, and efficiently splits them into hydrogen and carbon dioxide, which can be easily captured and stored.
TECHNOLOGY
RiPR system minimizes resource usage, does not require large volumes of water, avoids dependency on strategic metals, and consumes significantly less electricity than conventional electrolyzers and thus more efficient and sustainable. It offers the prospect of large-scale biogenic hydrogen production,

CURRENT STATUS
4 successful prototypes produced to Technology Readiness Level 6. Development of commercial demonstration to TRL Level 8 now underway. Currently wrapping up financing and beginning the search for a partner for whom they can design and develop the commercial demonstrator
ORIGINS
The concept of a better gasification had been percolating for over two decades in the mind of the company’s Chief Technology Officer Mark Wickham. He felt that the typical gasification process was too complex and that it could be simplified. In Feb 2022 the company was formed to build the first prototype in collaboration with Cranfield University and engineering firm Helical Energy
