Sustainable packaging, powered by nature
This is an advanced materials start-up that upcycles food by-products to replace single-use plastics. Their proprietary technology uses a mixture of spent grains and agricultural waste, to produce a plant fibre material for rigid packaging. Made up of 100% organic waste, the material has received international certification to be home compostable and food contact safe from the US FDA and Singapore Food Agency.
TECHNOLOGY / INNOVATION
Converts agricultural waste, such as wheat husks and spent grains, into compostable, plastic-free packaging. It produces durable, leakproof materials that are heat-resistant and safe for food use, replacing single-use plastics.
